Hello, I’m Zach.
This is my humble corner of the internet.
In theory, I could write about technology, writing, cooking, and faith, but in
practice I don’t write very often, and all but two posts are about technology.
Additionally, some articles are satires (these are marked [SATIRE]) and rants
(meaning poorly researched, things I don’t necessarily know much about but
nevertheless irk me greatly; these are marked [RANT]), as well as a lot of first
impressions and opinions.
I do intend to put my recipes up, but I don’t really have much of an
organization system for them yet (and there is presently only one).
The following series of statements describes me:
- I am a born again Christian
- I am a diehard Linux/BSD user (I currently run Arch and Artix Linux on two
devices)
- I prefer retro technologies almost unilaterally to modern technologies
- I prefer minimalism and efficiency in computing; I absolutely hate GNOME
- I am a tiling wm junnkie; I currently have two installed on two of my
computers that I switch between (hyprland and awesomewm)
- I love Italian food the best, and would love to visit Italy sometime to have
it authentically.
- I am morally opposed to large-scale social media; the only social platform
where I can be found is on Bryan Lunduke’s Locals
page where I am @zachir
- I have started (and not finished) three novels, and restarted each several times
(The Festival of Red, Lygophobia, and another not-yet-named).
- I also have written music, and recorded either by myself or with a couple
friends, but nothing properly published yet
